Doug Stone currently serves as Associate Professor of Jazz Studies at Louisiana State University. He has also served as Director of Jazz Ensembles at the Rochester School of the Arts and as chair of the jazz department at the Eastman Community Music School, in Rochester, NY. His playing credits include Maynard Ferguson's Big Bop Nouveau, the Birch Creek Jazz Orchestra, the Gap Mangione Big Band, the John Mahoney Big Band, and work with many wonderful musicians in Chicago, Western New York, and New Orleans.
