Peter Erskine appears on 700 albums and film scores, has won 2 Grammy Awards plus received an Honorary Doctorate from the Berklee School of Music. Fifty albums have been released under his own name or as co-leader. He’s played with the Kenton and Ferguson big bands, Weather Report, Steps Ahead, Joni Mitchell, Steely Dan, Diana Krall, Kenny Wheeler, John Abercrombie, John Scofield, Bob Mintzer, et al. Peter graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy and studied at Indiana University. Peter’s written several books including “No Beethoven, "The Musician’s Lifeline," and "Jazz Drumming Perspectives." He’s a retired professor emeritus (USC's Thornton School of Music) and has developed several playalong apps for iOS.
